Basketbal

Basketbal, or basketball, is a team sport in which two teams of five players each try to score points by throwing a ball through the opposing team’s hoop, a raised circular basket, typically mounted 10 feet high. The game is played on a rectangular court with a standard set of rules, including dribbling, passing, and shooting to maneuver the ball. Points are awarded based on where the shot is taken from, with shots made from beyond the three-point line earning more points. The objective of the game is to outscore the opponent by accumulating more points over four quarters of play. Basketball emphasizes athletic skills such as speed, agility, coordination, and teamwork. It originated in the late 19th century and has grown to become one of the most popular and widely viewed sports globally.
